Dogs have been wearing costumes/clothes since they first started performing tricks for us. Little dogs wear ballerina dresses while dancing and performing. Service dogs wear vests to identify that they are working dogs. Some toy dogs are dressed better than their people and even wear pajamas! I’ve dressed my Shelties up in costumes for nursing home visits. Cher, in the pic below is showing off a simple bow, a gift from one of her visits to the nursing home
